Coach Football Defense
I messed up really bad in my high school football game and i want to show coach im better than that, how do i?
I play the lineman position on defense. In the game i got droven back by two people and i got really mad when we were watching that video. How do I show coach im better than that?
first thing is you need to work on your technique when taking on a double team. It sounds bad and a lot of players are too proud to do this but any time you are losing ground from a double you need to fall down to your chest and create a pile. Grab their ankles do anything to prevent them from climbing to the linebacker. now about showing your coach all you have to do is not let it happen again. as a fellow d-lineman i know how frustrating this can be. I play college football and we are taught to not give up ground at any cost and to let the linebackers roam free to make the tackles. I know it kind of sucks but remember if you fire out hard and make the plays when they come your way your coach will notice. I hope this helps its kind of a long answer.

Curtis emphasizes the outside linebackers in the defense as drop defenders, which opens up many opportunities. A quick nose guard that can guard the run and pass brings an anchor to the defense. When defensive tackles play tight, they must still be able to contain. The two ends must anchor the line of scrimmage and play a tight, 7 technique. The inside linebacker lines up on the outside shoulder of the guard and needs to be in an aggressive, downhill, attack position. It gives you more options and different looks. In the nickel alignment, Curtis emphasizes lining up your free rusher to the running back's side.
